Client Relations/Social Media
Jessica is a Pearland High School graduate who has a Great Dane named “Moose”, two Golden-Doodles, a Terrier mix, and a German Shorthaired Pointer. Jessica has always loved animals. Because she tries to bring home (rescue) as many animals as she can, her dad affectionately calls her Ellie Mae Clampett.
Some of her favorite hobbies include spending time with family, taking her dogs to the dog park, and just being outdoors. She grew up in a family full of hunters, and when she has spare time, she likes to drive up to her family deer lease and hunt. Hunting is how her family spends quality time together. She believes there is no better way to spend her time than watching the sun come up and hearing the forest come alive within a blind or tree stand with family nearby.
After only a month of working in the animal field, she knew that she found where she belongs. The more she worked with animals, the more she realized it was time for a change in her college major, so she changed it from Business Marketing to Animal Science.
Jessica loves talking to clients about their pets and looking for solutions to their problems. And, as a result, she moved into the position of Social Relations Specialist where she is responsible for all Social Media and Social Events with Claws & Paws. She enjoys building relationships with clients and making sure owners know their babies are in good hands. Working in veterinary medicine allows her to converse with clients along with supervising, caring for, and being responsible for their babies while they’re with us. Working at Claws & Paws gives her a sense of satisfaction for helping others and their animals. It lowers her stress and makes her feel needed and appreciated. She is happy to have joined Claws & Paws and really enjoys it because she’s doing something she ultimately loves and enjoys, and that’s helping animals in need of love, aid, care, and support. Along with all of that, she is constantly improving herself by gaining knowledge and working hands-on for the career she is ultimately pursuing.
Jessica is taking classes at the University of Houston-Clear Lake and has been accepted into the Pre-Veterinary Program. She looks forward to gaining more knowledge and experience in the Veterinary world.
