Sarah Diaz
Kennel Technician
Meet Sarah, one of our fantastic Kennel Technicians who began working here October 5, 2009.
Sarah was born and raised in Indiana where she studied Dog Grooming at The Midwest School of Dog Grooming. She lived in a small town and as a teenager, she babysat and volunteered in the pediatric ward of the local hospital for two years. She then began venturing into dog shows at age 14…not knowing this hobby would lead her to a world full of experiences and wonderful memories.
Before arriving here with us, she lived in Mexico for 19 years where she had her own grooming shop for 8 of those years. While in Mexico, she was able to go through a variety of experiences which included working in a veterinary clinic, breeding and showing German Shorthaired Pointers for 12 years and participating in dog shows in Mexico, the U.S. and Central & South America. She actually made history with the breed in Mexico with the first Shorthair to win a Best In Show. She has even had some of her puppies sold to places like Argentina and Russia!
After retiring from grooming, she went on to teach English as a second language for 9 years, working as Teacher’s Coordinator. She had the honor to meet and work with most of the Kennel Club Presidents at two World Dog Shows among other National and International events while serving as the official translator for The Mexican Kennel Club.
Sarah is single and has one 4 legged little girl named Katrina, they both reside here in Pearland. Sarah enjoys going to the movies, horseback riding, hanging out with friends, reading, and keeping in contact with friends and family online.
