Dr. Julie Wickel
Veterinarian/Owner

Dr. Wickel graduated from Texas A&M University in 1991 and practiced at two other area hospitals before opening Claws & Paws Veterinary Hospital® in 1997. She is a member of the Texas Academy of Veterinary Practice, American Academy of Veterinary Acupuncture, International Veterinary Acupuncture Society, American Veterinary Medical Association and the Texas Veterinary Medical Association. She is a Certified Veterinary Acupuncturist.

Dr. Wickel completes an average of 60-80 hours of continuing education each year to provide your pets with the best care possible.  

Professional Interests: Exotics (reptiles, pocket pets, rabbits, ferrets), acupuncture, dentistry, orthopedic surgery & internal medicine

Outside Interests:  New Hope Church, bowling, bicycling, piano, gardening and cooking
