This is a requirement by the City of Pearland for all residents who reside in the city limits. We used to sell the city tags at our hospital (through October 2003), but the additional time and administrative burden required began to be overwhelming.
We will still provide you with a vaccination certificate that states the date of the rabies vaccination and whether or not your pet is altered or unaltered.
The fee is $10 for altered pets (spayed & neutered) and $20 for unaltered pets. The fee is due annually. The City Council sets these fees and they are sure to increase on a regular basis. Please call Pearland Animal Control at (281) 652-1970 to find out their current fee’s.
To receive the city tags by mail, you need to have the following information:
- Vaccination Certificate
- A Check made payable in the correct amount to “The City of Pearland”
