Is it really necessary that my pet be on heartworm prevention even though he/she is strictly an indoor pet?

Absolutely! Mosquitoes in this area come indoors and are also evident year round. All dogs and cats need to be on heartworm preventatives! We also recommend that ferrets be on heartworm prevention.

Our current recommendation is Sentinel® or Trifexis®  for dogs and Revolution® for cats.
