Beth Stone - Technician
Meet Beth Stone, a resident of the La Porte area, who has lived there most of her life and graduated from La Porte High School. She also lived in Germany for three years and spent three years in the Seattle/Tacoma area of Washington. It was there that she decided she wanted to be a veterinary technician and went to school at PIMA Medical Institute for veterinary technology. She completed a full year of classroom studies followed by an eight-week externship at a local veterinary hospital.
After completing her studies, she moved back home to La Porte to raise her daughter. Beth’s experience goes back to 2000, mostly in specialty surgery such as orthopedics and soft tissue surgery (which is her favorite), but she also enjoys general practice.
When she is not at work, Beth loves spending time with her husband David, daughter Megan and step children Zak and Summer. She also plays on a co-ed slow pitch softball team in her spare time. Beth was even a volunteer firefighter for three years in the city of La Porte. Her four legged family members include two cats (a solid white domestic short hair named Hollie who is 12-years old and a black and brown tabby named Tiger who is 9-years old) and an adorable Dachshund/Labrador mix named Shiner who is the love of her life (just kidding David)!
Beth is very excited to join the family at Claws and Paws Veterinary Hospital and is eager to expand her knowledge and experience in the ever-growing field of veterinary medicine. Beth feels extremely lucky to have a career that she loves and enjoys going to work every day!
